Cutimed Sorbion Sana is a superabsorbent, atraumatic wound dressing for the treatment of heavily to moderately exuding wounds. The special three-dimensional structure of its cover minimises the contact surface with the wound bed. Cutimed Sorbion Sana is therefore particularly suitable for the treatment of wounds where atraumatic and low-pain dressing changes are paramount, e.g. wounds with uneven healing progress (epithelialisation islands/drier wound areas), in palliative care or in patients who are sensitive to pain. The hydrokinetic fibre matrix with integrated, highly water-retaining polymers (superabsorbents) creates a moist wound environment, absorbs wound exudate vertically and traps it securely in the product core. In this way, the risk of maceration can be reduced and the healing process optimally supported.
Cutimed Sorbion Sana consists of a super-absorbent core, which is covered by a utrasound-sealed polypropylene non-woven and additionally by a three-dimensional polyethylene wound contact layer on the outside. The product is free from pharamcological agents.
