Mextra Superabsorbent absorbs liquids quickly. This high absorption and retention capacity for fluids minimises the risk of maceration. Mextra can be used for moderately to heavily exuding wounds, e.g. chronic wounds such as leg ulcers, venous leg ulcers under pressure dressings and chronic wounds such as pressure ulcers.
Mextra can be used together with primary dressings such as Mepitel, Mepitel One, Fibre Dressing or Melgisorb Plus.
Mextra has a water-repellent and breathable top layer that protects against soaking. The top layer prevents liquid from seeping through to the outside and protects clothing and bed linen from soiling.
